Teaching
My teaching is focussed on principles of measurement and fundamental concepts of analogue and digital circuits and systems used for measurement and control. I contribute to a variety of modules in this area. In addition, I co-ordinate 4th year Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Individual Projects.
Research Interests
My research is primarily focussed on ultrasonic transduction – primarily the application of novel polymer materials and synthesis methods to the creation of new types of transducers. The main goals are improving sensitivity, so that we can probe deeper into the material or interest, and enhancing resolution, allowing us to see the echoes from small targets especially when they are close together.
